Pride and Prejudice "cyclic redundancy check" error...

Hi everyone. This is a great site and I use it often!
Has anyone had any success with backing up the new Pride and Prejudice dvd released today?
I tried the ANYDVD and DVD SHRINK combo but when I click "open disk" or "open file" it analizes about 52% of the disk and then I get the error "cyclic redundancy check"
I have also tried DVD DECRYPTER and DVDfab but they both just seem to stop about half way through.
The disk is brand new and doesn't seem to have any scratches.
I have backed up over 150 disks using DVD DECRYPTER/DVD SHRINK combo or ANYDVD/DVD SHRINK combo...and never had any problems. Is this a new form of protection...looking for any suggestions anyone might have..thanks

If you've run it through DVDFAB and it still will not work and it's a brand new disc then it could just be a bad press. Is your FAB up to date then?

Hi there thanks for the reply..
Yes, I just downloaded DVDfab today so it is the latest version.
Does "bad press" mean there is something wrong with the original? I have skimmed through it and it seems to work ok.

@cman2006, Hello friend, I backed up P&P with Recode 2 and CloneDVD 2, w/AnyDvd running in the background...no problems. Since you have AnyDVD, maybe download CloneDVD dor the 21 day free trial and see how it works. I haven't tried shrink with this movie, but Recode 2 was not a problem. I know some at AD have had problems when they use Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background. I do not have these problems, but maybe disable AnyDVD, then use Decrypter to get it to HD and then open with shrink. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

Hi MovieDud, thanks for the suggestions...
I am beginning to think there is a probelm with the original disc.
I tried running DVD Decrypter without AnyDVD, and it still stopped at 46%, then I tried clonedvd2 and it stopped in approximately the same spot.
You mentioned Recode2, do you know where I can get this? I have never used this one.

Recode 2 is another great prog...the same of author of shrink is now with Nero and in return created Recode 2. It came with the Nero 6 program that I have. Arniebear got me hooked on it and I've been very pleased with the results. Quality is important and viewing on a 55 inch 16X9 HDTV I can catch inconsistencies between copy and original and beyond Rebuilder Pro and CloneDVD 2 I feel that Recode 2 is pretty awe-some and easy to use. I still have shrink and use it occasionally. Sorry about the bad press of the movie...ya know that seems to be happening a lot more. Have a good evening.

I back up P&P yesterday using DVDfab Decrypter 2.9.6.8, Shrink and burning with DVD Decrypter. These 3 programs only and AnyDVD and DVD43 MUST be turned off.
