I recently purchased a v2 PSP. I decided to purchase an external battery as well called the power brick. I try this battery when my psp was still v2 and it works but when I downgrade my psp to v1.5, the battery cannot be recognized. Can this battery be used with v1.5 or is there somethin wrong with the battery?

well upgrade to 2.0(dont worry you can downgrade again) and see if the battery works again, if not it isnt the fw. i highly doubt that the fw could affect the battery. so my guess is its the battery at this point

na, I won't upgrade and than downgrade again. I was scared as hell to downgrade it.
Pretty weird battery. When I plug the battery in when I still had v2, it automatically changes to external power. Now when I plug it in, nothing happens.

The battery package should say the compatabillity of the firmware you need. Go to the batteries web site it should say there too.
