I have been putting full color Sticker labels on my backed-up ps2 games and have started to hear bad things about it. First people are saying that it's hard to get it on centered? This will cause the disk to spin weird, and it wont work. Second I heard that the sticker makes it harder for the laser to read the disk? Something about the light being messed up by different shades of ink. Third that the sticker labels add weight to the disk. I know thats true, but how much does a sticker the size of a cd weigh? I was wondering if anyone had anything they could say about this. Im looking for fact, preferably someone who has sticker labels on ps2. The Labels that im refering to are the kind you buy with the cd stomper, or memorex kit, so i know the stickers are going on straight. As of now it seems that some of my games are not working anymore. They tend to freeze up, but not in the same place twice. I can play through the whole game, but most likely not in one run through. Please help guys. Not sure if its the stickers or the ps2 itself.

Stickers are always a bad idea buy a inkjet printer that supports cd/dvd's if you have to have pretty disks

i agree, not a good idea. Just use a Sharpie marker and write
the game name on them instead.

I also sticker my disc from time to time and although I have had some problems like those you have experienced I have not been able to conclusiveley prove that any probs are down to the stickers.
I too have heard people say its not a good idea but there are so many hardware variables in the end product you burn that its hard to say why these probs occur.
You could experiment with re-burning using the "bad" disc as the source and see if the probs are still there, both with the same media brand and with a different media brand because out of all the errors you can get you can usually blame the media.

PC Specs: CPU-C2D E8400, M/B-P5N-E SLI, RAM 4Gig OCZ Platinum rev2 ,VGA- Nvidia 8800GT 512MB, HDD- Hitachi Deskstar SATAII 1TB, 250Gig Maxtor IDE HDD.
