Go to the DMS forums http://web02063.prolocation.net/phpBB2/index.php and look in the Toxic OS threads. There will be an image to download (.bin & .cue files). Then you just burn those to a disc and boot the PS2 with it in the drive. That's all there is to it.

104. Q. I can't get my DMS 4, Matrix Infinity, or Crystal Chip 1.1 to boot backups/imports, what's going on?
A. You need to flash the chip with the latest firmware to boot backups and imports.
DMS 4 Pro SE or Pro: http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=3138141
DMS 4 Lite or Lite SE: http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=8823396
Crystal Chip 1.1 Hacked Firmware: http://www.forumconsolas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1213
Matrix Infinity: http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/matrix/site.pl?page=news

Note: There are a ton of Matrix Infinity Clones out there. If you flash a Matrix Infinity clone with the official MI firmware, you'll fry the clone chip. That's a little gift from the Matrix Team to you for not researching and making sure you got a legit MI. After reading this FAQ, there's no excuse for ending up with a MI Clone.
Use Alcohol 120% to burn the bin file to CD-R.

Alcohol 120%: http://www.free-downloads.net/programs/Alcohol_120_

Burn the Firmware to CD-R with these instructions:
1. Unzip the firmware.
2. Insert your blank disc.
3. Open Alcohol 120%.
4. Go to File-->Open and browse to the cue file. Double click it.
5. Once it's open under Alcohol 120%, right click the cue file and click image burning wizard.
6. Select your recorder, leave the write method alone, set the write speed to 4x, set the datatype to PS2, and click next.

Nah forget all that this is the best thing you can do. The following link is a direct link to Toxic's official web site.

http://www.teamtoxic.com.cn/

Jut go there and download Toxic OS if you have the DMS4 pro or Toxic Bios if you have the DMS4 Lite. Unzip/rar the files, read the doc's, burn to disc, boot in PS2, press X when it tells you to, flash your chip, wait for it to finish, then your done. Have fun!

That's exactly what I said to do. People have complained the directions included with the firmware download are too vague. That's why I explain them so thoroughly. People have good success following those directions, that's why I continue to use them. I know they work, and I see no reason to change them.
