Just finished Jarhead this morning
with DVD Decrypter and Nero
Dont understand why some people didnt like it, great movie in my opinion!
1 - using Decrypter i save it on the hd
2 - using Nero Reconde 2 i copy it

That's interesting - I see Jarhead isn't being released until March 7 - or are there other places you can get the movie?

Some ppl work in a movie store which get new releases as much as a week in advance.

I know! How long until everyone understands that release dates varies by regions, in addition to most retail stores get movies early! I mean, do you really think retail stores get the new releases on Tuesday morning? Or even Monday night? They get them about a week early! And, obviously, employees of these stores have access to them! It's not that complicated or inconceivable.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

i was a movie extra for a film on catapults...i was also writer, director, star, editor, and target. it was fun.
looking forward to jarhead, llugo2003. happy to hear it was easy to backup.

Might be a bad press, because the movie isn't available to the general public for a few more days it will be a while until all the protection issues of the different regions will be reportable.

This may be interesting info to some, and may work or not work in some places. I noticed that many of my friends out of town were getting movies a week before I and rubbing it in my face LOL. SO I went and talked to a couple of my local video stores about that and requested to rent movies early. Both stores said that they were not supose to but said that if I came to the counter and asked for them quietly they would rent them to me. THey make extra money by doing so, hundred each month so why not. SUre enough I have been getting my movies a week early. Give it a try!It worked at both places I tryed. I've told so many people now that they are out of movies on release day LOL, now I have to make sure I get there when their mail man delivers them the wed or thurs before, I shoulda kept my mouth shut.

I was a movie extra in War of the Worlds. It was filmed in Lexington VA, not 30 min from where I live. You can Actually see me for about .0001 of a second...
Anyway, @ multiart, any update on your rip of Jarhead? You could also try the Guide in my Sig for "Power ripping" with DVD Decrypter.
It works on some, not on others...

Actually, I was a National Guardsmen in the scene of the Convoy of trucks going down the dirt road...
I pretty much stood in the rain for about a week... That part Sucked, but I did get to meet Steven Speilberg! He made a point of introducing himself to all of the extras!
He came out of his nice warm trailer...
said hello to us who were freezing...
and went back in his nice warm trailer...
For the 2 minutes he talked to me though, I thought he was indeed pretty genuine...

Thats cool that Steven Spielberg talked to you. I had a similar experience like yours. Jarhead was mostly filmed by Imperial and Holtville CA. The last two nights I worked it was cold while they were filming the shooting in the air scene and celebration near the end of the movie Jarhead and I feel bad for the guys that went streaking because the wind was so cold. Too bad that scene was omitted from the theatre version because I thought it was funny. Jamie Foxx was there I talked to him for a moment but he was mostly busy and I was able to get his autograph. This was my first time working as a movie extra and I would do it again.

Yes, I saw my face once,my back and half my body in different parts of the movie when I saw the movie at the theatre. When I get my hands on DVD,I'll capture the image of myself and put it on Myspace. I'll be back and let you know when I get the images.
