Okay i'm a swap magic user with a v14 ps2 trying to get some code to work on Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition (one of my main reasons for getting swap magic as its not available in UK).

I have an origianl AR Max Evo and i inputted the codes in expert mode but then it didn't appear in the list, however if I tried inputting it again, it will say it already exist but doesn't appear in the list.

I managed to get round it by loading just the Devil May Cry 3 SE cheats on a USB drive with Max Code Manager and then I can just load that codelist from the USB (if I try to transfer it to memory card and load from there it doesn't work, it loads the original list).

So I loaded the codes from the USB drive and put the swap magic disc when it asked to for game cd and then after that I did the usual swap to get DM3SE to load up. Game loads up successfully BUT cheats didn't have any effect at all.

So I did a bit forum searching and came across that NTSC AR Max Evo with dvd loader and I used the instruction to load the game with codes with that and same thing. The game loads but cheats have no effect what so ever.

The game isn't rebuilt or anything, its the orignal size 4.10. So any idea why AR Max is doing this?

The mastercode and everything is applied yes?

Also, some codes are duds. And I don't think it is Swap Magic.. not sure about the chip.. or the game.

Make sure the game format and the action replay codes used are of the same region!

Yeah the mastercode is correct and the code is from the action replay codejunkies website under the NTSC site. The game is only out in america so there is only NTSC codes for it.

I just don't see what's the problem, why they codes won't work on the game, i'm guessing maybe swap magic does some thing.

Anyone encounter things like that? Or have people successfully been able to play games with cheats with v14 slim ps2 and AR Max Evo (original or the NTSC version with dvd loader thats flying around the internet).

If people have then I'll try and see if its anything got to do with my burned copy of DM3SE. I hope my ps2 being a PAL doesn't have anything go to do with the problems.
