A couple games have some distorted BGM, with no in-game way to disable it. One of them came with a readme that said to rename the files in the BGM folder of the ISO, but I can't exactly figure out how to open it like you would a CD ISO.

What method/program should I use?

Try using stream fix and see if that helps at all. Make sure you keep a spare just in case it doesn't work.

Ikaruga. Also having problems with Naruto 1 (although BGM can be toggled off in-game).

Ikaruga had issues? I didn't think it did.

All the Naruto GNT games have issues with streaming audio hanging or not working, so that's expected. I've been playing the 4th and every once in a while it crackles.

It's not cracking or hanging or not loading, it's loud, speaker-destroying noise. Same in both games. Both games have some pretty decent sounds other than BGM, so I don't really want to have to mute the TV if I can just kill the files.

I'm streaming from PSO, by the way.

You could try using Apache 3 from Sonix,it has the ability to extract files and not sure about this but you could probably edit files with it also.Just open up your GC image in the program, then extract the file you want to replace. In this case you need to look at the thp files in Ikaruga.Extract the Thp file to your desktop or somewhere and rename it,then right click in Apache 3 it will give you a list of options.Just select replace selected file then browse and find the file you just renamed.I hope that helps you out,and if that doesn't work let me know ok.

Thanks, that program helped me fix things, but a bit differently than you said.

The "replace file" thing, whatever you choose to replace it takes on the original files name, so it'll use the replaced file properly. It can't be used to rename things. I tried replacing the music with dummy 0kb files, but that just made levels crash before to title screen just before you gained control. Good thing I backed it up before playing around with it.

However, I WAS able to extract the entire filesystem from the ISO, make rename the BGM files in Windows, then recompile it into a brand new ISO, which worked exactly how I would want it to. Curiously, the game couldn't see the old save file, so it made a new one and completely ignored the original. The old one was still on the memory card, so there were two Ikaruga save files on my card before I deleted the old; kind of funny, but I'm sure it had to do with the recompiling.

Lastly, I hate to do this, but... I still don't have a clear answer to my problem over in my other topic (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/302113). I still haven't gotten it to work, and it's so damned painful using the wireless adaptor that crashes every ten minutes or so. I'd really, REALLY appreciate some help over there.
