i installed a flip top cover and i have swap magic. my problem is, unless the fliptop is mostly open, the disc tray will not eject. it comes out about an inch and gets stuck on something.

so here's how that causes a problem: i can boot a backup just fine, but to use snes station on dvd, i understand i have to use dvdloader (SM -> dvdloader -> SNESStation i think). but, dvdloader does not stop spinning when i have to insert my disc, i'm supposed to use the eject button... obviously if i just open the fliptop my disc starts flying around and will get scratched up and whatnot.

the tray opens as long as the fliptop is about 70% open. at first i thought it was getting caught where the fliptop snaps down at the front, where the button that opens it is, but it's not or else it'd work as long as the top was open any at all. it must be getting caught at the back somewhere, but i can't figure it out. anyone had a similar problem?

oh, and the tray WILL close with the fliptop closed or in any other position. so that makes it more puzzling...

this is kinda off-topic now, but i managed to swap discs when told by hitting eject then quickly opening the flip-top. it's tough cuase open it too soon and the disc is still spinning when the tray comes out... but anyways, it says invalid disc. i don't understand. so then i tried re-inserting the SM dvd when dvdloader asks for a new disc, and it even says invalid disc. so how do i freakin' boot this SNES dvd with swap magic? if i just use SM -> SNES it boots (blue sides) but then i just get a blank screen. i followed the guide from another thread.

Try adjusting the tightness of the screws holding on the fliptop, mine was doing that to me also.

to use dvd loader
1. boot dvd loader
2. Hit eject, insert swap magic dvd (or any big original ps2 dvd game)
3. let it read, hit x
4. open fliptop and put in your dvd backup.
