How do I install the flip top cover. I have a PS2 Slim, SCPH-75001. I followed the instructions on the net, installation guide SCPH-7000x. I remove the screws, but can't seem to get the casing off???

Don't know what instructions you are following, but here is a guide with lots of pics. I hope this helps you.

I've got the same problem with the same model, and it's really hard to say if I'm not using enough force or not.

I loosen the screws (6 of them) and take off the top cover, starting at the top left corner, then bottom left corner.

I get to step 3 in the diagram, where it shows the red arrow and the direction to pull.

When I pull, the casing won't come off. It feels as if it is secured by something in between the top right and bottom right screws, but I see nothing. (Even tried a flashlight inside it)

Please advise :) Thanks. Do I need to yank it apart? I'm afraid to snap something off by accident.
