I have read through the posts here and still am having trouble. I have downloaded 2 files for a game. They are labeled. FLT2A.BIN.EXE and FLT2B.BIN.EXE. These are ISO files I believe so I changed the .exe ending to .iso as trying to run the executable just gave an invalid file error. I extracted the files Isobuster into 2 separate directories. I ran the setup file from the first CD and it installs the game. The problem is at the point it asks to complete the installation by inserting the 2nd CD. I can't seem to do this. Double-clicking on the executable in the second expanded ISO file does not do it. Also I copied both expanded files to CDs because it asks for the same drive for the second CD. Again the first CD installs the first part of the program fine. The program is that when I insert the 2nd CD nothing happens. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas what I am doing wrong?
The game (iso files) you're trying to backup is cd protected(Safedisck or SecuROM). Since you managed to get the first disc (iso) to install, please post the name of the game and the brand name and model of your cd burner. This will require "special" cd burning software to backup.
The game is Microsoft's Age of Mythology. My CD burner is a "Liteon LTR" burner (I do not have the model number as I am at work now) and is the generic burner that came with my Gateway 3000XL. If you need the model number I'll add a post tonight.
Good news m8, your Litey can backup the latest Safedisc& SecuROM cd protections! Age Of Mythology is Safedisc 2.7 cd protected so I recommend you use Alcohol 120% using the Safedisc 2datatype to write the image(s). After installing Alcohol20, open and go to general>options>shell extensions and check all the boxes for all the types. Now Click image burning wizard and down near the bottom where it says datatype, choose Safedisc 2 and burn max. Repeat this process for the 2nd iso and the game should play without any emulation. Play your backup in your Litey and be sure to exit Alcohol120 from system tray (startup) before you play your backup.

I burned the CDs from the iso files I had using the SafeDisc2 setting in Alcohol 120%. The game (and in particular the 2nd CD) installed. I closed out of Alcohol including the tray icon and even rebooted the computer but now when I launch the game with the backup (disc 1) in the cd-rom drive I receive an error that states no CD is found in the drive -please insert. I tried enabling the emulation even though you said not to but that doesn't make a difference. It is now not enabled. Any ideas?
So the game will play with Alcohol120% running in system tray with emulation options checked "ignore media type, bad sectors emulation and Laserlock emulation" in your Litey? Try playing the game in your Litey without Alcohol 120 running in system tray as the game should play just fine.
The reason why the game wouldn't play in your CD-Rom, it can't read ATIP, nothing uncommom m8.

I'm sorry, perhaps I was not clear. The game installed properly but will not play - the ATIP error I have found. I have shut down the Alcohol tray ico, burned the CD with the "Ignore Media" box checked as well as the "2 sheep" EFM box unchecked, and with the emulation and bad sector enabled and still it searches for the CD backup. I see others have this problem and I have been trying everything but I can't seem to get it to find the CD backup.
Having any emulation checked in the write process doesn't affect the write process. Why your backup(s) won't play without emulation= I dunno. Try running Alcohol 120 in system tray with backups in your Litey and emulation options checked: "ignore media type, bad sectors emulation and Laserlock emulation".
