burn image (.cue) - only selects CD and not DVD

when i get a film in .bin format, and it comes with a .cue file, if i go to burning rom and select "Burn Image" from the menu, and select the cue file, it says on the left that its going to burn to a CD (even though a dvd-r is in the drive). So if i click ok anyway, hoping to override it or that it'll detect the dvd in the drive, it says the disc does not have enough room as its a cd, not a dvd.

So the only way i can burn .bin files is to go to to Make Your Own DVD Video in Nero Vision, and add the .bin file where it says Add Movie Files.

Does anyone else have this problem, or know how to open .cue's so it burns to a dvd and not a cd?

try it with a cd and use the overburn option ,if the file is smaller than about 800mb it should work ,has worked for me many times ,as you can fit a 800mb file on a cd using this method

well the .bin file is about 725mb - that would work would it? Because when it load the .bin file (as explained above) into Nero Vision, it says its 1.4gb odd, where i thought it was this much for the audio and visual streams of 725mb each??

Would the cd play in my dvd player?

yes it should work and you will be able to play it on a dvd player

so you have tried overburn ..it should do it if the file is less than 800mb

youngyni... If 783 kb is not a typo and is not a bad file. What is the img of? At that size the only thing I can think of that would be an img file would be a boot disk or something. If that is the case you may need to look into winimage for it.
