hi guys........i am researching these days for playing online.....somewhere along my research, i was told that when u log in to a server, $ony checks ur IP, to make sure u r playing within ur region....is this true ??

cuz i am in asia (pakistan)....and if this is true, my online gaming days are over....even with the machine ID changer...

Just use Xlink Kai instead and you should be fine.
YOu can play PS2,Xbox & Gamecube online and the program is free,

but it cant be possible.....cuz there r numerous people i have come across who have used the paradox machine ID tool to change their region successfully....and then r able to play games of different networks....if IPs of the same region are only allowed, then how cud these people log into different regions successfully ???

They definatly do not check IPs for consoles. You can tell this, because you can play for example, FFXI in the UK using a debug PS2. Note: Debug PS2s can play games from any region without the need for any modification to the console.
