Xbox Soft Mod Problem

I recently soft modded an xbox using the spliter cell software xploit, all went well and system was modded as required.
Using unleashx i backed up the all the default settings to allow me to return the xbox to its previous condition as it was before the soft mod, foolishly i then over wrote this back up.
Is there any way of returning the xbox back to factory condition - default epprom and bios settings ect.
any help would be appriciated

No, I dont think so. IF you xbox still works, keep it like that. Otherwise, you need a modchip.

Erm...you can get your Xbox to the normal state. Find someone to give you their ms backup and then put it in your E:/BACKUP/MS folder and then go to restore ms backup (thats if you used SID). I've helped many people when they screwed up their backup and then gave them mine and everything worked jsut fine.

well i fucked up my xbox it says 16 and weird chinese letters does any one know how to fix that aim screen name is halomodderhalo and i will give u a 2month or mod u up cuz i got another one

You might want to try to d/l AID 3.0! To get it,go to mininova.org and download it...its a torrent, so make sure you havea torrent client such as utorrent (www.utorrent.com) so you can d/l it.
BUT FIRST! Make sure you can play a game. Open your disc drive and put the game in. Turn your xbox off, and then back on. If it plays the game, then get AID or just reinstall the softmod by putting the same game in that you used to softmod with.

well i downloaded everything and im staring at the thing and it says start torrent and it shows the mediacenter crap but how does it get to my xbox thrugh flash fxp?

If you're talkin about AID, you are going to have to burn it to disc. Were you able to load your linux installer again? If you can, you dont have to worry about AID, just reinstall your softmod and make sure you put UnleashX on there so you can toggle through your gamesaves.

i have 2 thank u 4 the help u gave 2 @ksiecko69. bcuz of it i was able 2 restore my xbox after i had fucked it up (error 21, wouldn't load dash). felt like a total ass, but i'm better now. again thx alot.

appreciate it. do u kow xactly how it is that u can set up xbmc as the default dash? tried editing the xml's <home>-</home> tag then ftp'd in2 C:\ root. renamed evox.xbe to evoxold.xbe, then renamed xbmc's .xbe to evox.xbe & ftp'd to C:\ root as well but nada. i obviously did something wrong. but i don't know what. :( ne chance of helping me?

You might be able to do it with the new AID 3.0. You may even be able to do it w/ AID 2.11. You can find those at xbox-hq.com. Other than that...I dont know how else you can do it :/

Help! I softmodding my xbox and everything Worked great.
for a long time then I desided to put a bigger hard drive in my xbox well now that it is up some of my games do not play anymore like nascar06 nfl06 and nhl06 the all worked fine on my old drive.. what has changed The way i made my new hard drive is used linux dd everything and
it all works fine all my other games works fine. when i try to run the game the xbox just locks up.. it does the same off the hard drive and off the cd. any help any ideas..

i have no problem modding the maps but how would i play a modded map that come from the halo disc, not the ones saved to the hard drive.

hey guys this might be a dumb question but i would like your input. i have never modded my xbox before and i want to get the unleashX mod. do you recommend that i do this and if i do what is the best site to help me get the unleashX mod? i found one website that gave me a step by step process of installing the unleashX mod in under 10 min. Is it really that easy? are there any other better mods that i could get besides the unleashX mod?

for me personaly unleash x is the best dashboard it gives u alot of options eg u can listen to ur music from the main menu. as for modding ur xbox, the best way to mod your xbox is using a chip but if u cant do that then just do a softmod

Yeah, X4Life is right. If you want to be able to play on live for sure after you mod your Xbox, get one of the newer chips so that you can disable it and run the retail bios (since thats what XBL checks for when they go to ban you).
If you cant get a chip, then in one of the Xbox sections here, I have a step by step tutorial on how to get your Xbox modded. It may not be the 10 min that the other people are claiming, but it shouldnt take more than 20 min. You mostly just sit there and let the installer run :P Anyways, hope you can find it and take a look at it. It is also running the MOST CURRENT installer fyi ;)
