Also, I know this sounds stupid, but I have absolutely no idea how to open my PS2. I currently have a V12, but I plan on upgrading to V13 or 14. However, I don't even know how to open my V12, let alone bothering with V13 or V14. I see several black squares at the bottom of my slimline, which supposedly hide the screws underneath, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with them.
Could anybody please explain what I need to do in order open V12/V13/V14 PS2s? Instructions for all three would be great because I only have a V12 to practice on right now, and plan on getting the V13 or 14 real soon.
The following are just some of the questions I have.
1)How do I get these black squares at the base of the PS2 off?
2)Do I need a special tool when opening my Ps2, like a really tiny screwdriver?
3)Is there anything I should watch out for when opening my PS2? When it comes to hardware, I'm a complete n00b.
Pictures would be nice too, as I am sort of a visual learner.
If there is anything else that should be important to address, feel free to post it as well. Please help if possible. Thanks in advance!
