Q: Do I still need the fliptop for this to work?

I buy do this for my cousin ps2 since his wont read disc only movies. So that is why I going to save the games on the hd that comes with it.

Hi xaznboitx

No you shouldnt need the flip top. However he aware that the USB Extreme has a very low compatibility with games that it will actually work with. http://list.ps2hd.com shows a compatibility of 4% which is very low.

HDA is nothing more then the freely distributed patched HDL. So when looking at the list in regards to the patched HDL you can assume HDA will work as well.

Well most likely because a manual with all that info would be very large and costly to print (resulting in a more expensive product for you) not to mention this data is changing all the time.

I have USB Advance and an external HD that works with USB Advance (My old slim PS2 days) so how do I play PSX games on the external USB HDD??
