Forgive my ignorance regarding this topic, I am very new to all of this, with that said, heres my question. I have a modded ps2 with the matrix infinity green dot. I want to launch hd advance from the memory card, from my understanding, I can do so without a trigger disc in d.e.v mode on the chip. My question is how do I get hdadv. elf files transferred to the memory card. Please, any help is welcomed. Can someone give me steps on how this is done??

@BaconX

Yes but thats not what he wants to do. He wants to boot the elf in dev mode with no disc in his PS2 at all.

@kenysan

Have a look at the following link and the post dated December 19, 2005
DEV2I V1.10 Released.

http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/matrix/site.pl?page=news

Download that utility, read the doc's. Boot the disc in your PS2 and the utility will install your ELF file to your HDD that you can boot in Dev2 mode with your MI by holding L1 from standby.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Hey John, is that you, didn't realize you posted here. I must say you did an awesome modchip install on my ps2. I couldn't be anymore happier, thanks so much, didn't get around to leave you some good feedback, so im saying it now. I think you did mine around xmas time, anyways, thanks for that quick response and clarification. On another note, that download for the utility allows me to execute from hdd, dont have one yet, does that work for memory card too!!!

No that is mainly a dev2 installer only. To set up a de1 app on the memory card you can use uLaunchELF. You can boot ULE from a disc then copy the ULE ELF from the disc you just booted from to mc0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF and to execute it hold R1 from standby then tap reset, keep holding R1 until ULE boots up then you will be able to do any thing. If you would have sent in a memory card with your PS2 I could have set this all up for you. However its not hard to set up yourself.

BTW thanks for the great feedback.

@BaconX thank you as well.
