LiteOn LVW-5045 woes

Hi all,imagine my dismay when I plugged in my eagerly awaited brand new LiteOn LVW-5045 to find out it was DOA! It freezes at HELLO,no other controls work,and the tray will not open.Of course Newegg refuses to RMA it,but the folks at Liteon have been very helpful.I have the RMA authorization and the unit will ship out monday,It will take a few weeks to recieve a new unit,but i hope all goes well.Wish me luck.

I always,always buy from Tiger Direct and have had no problems with anything.
The main turn off for me from New Egg is shipping and not shipping to alternate sites that are not connected to the ccard...what a joke...

Anyway good luck!!!!
