Hi there,

We rented Kessen 3 and tried to copy it using Sonic digital Media 7 to a dual layer DVD, but an error popped up when transferring it onto the DVD. Do you have any suggestions? ( We didn't use any of the PS2 softwares to reduce the file sizes or anything, we're still kinda new to this. I've been reading through te various threads and it almost seems like a hit and miss process. Could you help out - thanks.

I used Apache 3 Preview Version, and had no problems converting it to an ISO of a Keesen 3 i own edited by ddp. But as for burning it to a dual layer disc, I'm not sure. I ripped and coverted mine, took a little under a few hours to get it done, but it was worth it.

Although I'd say the only reason to get the dual layer version is to hear both the japanese and english languages. Other than that, I'd go with the rip instead.

you need to edit that post to 'i own Keesen 3' rather then blatantly saying your pirating software, thats not permitted on the boards.......and the posting of your email is also not permitted on the boards, ddp or creaky one will find this post and kindly fix all the errors of your way if you don't first, but you wont like the way they do it.

then take the copy that you own, and use DVD Decrypter to Mode/ISO/Read the original, this will store it on your harddrive as an ISO/MDS, then use ImgBurn (just an updated burn engine for Decrypter) to burn the MDS (use the MDS, not the ISO) file you created.

Sorry about that ddp. I do of course own the game, but since my PS2 is so faulty, I am unable to play the original. So making a rip of it was basically the only way it allows me to play it.

Also treehugge, I'd try Toxic's Dual Layer Patcher, but I can't guarantee its going to work.

you don't need the patcher if you use a DMS or MI chip.
