hello all..wonder if anyone can help..I purchased a samsung dvd recorder R120....everything i record from satellite is in mono..no surround...can anyone help

Is the Samsung a stero recorder
If the satellite is a Dish Network 301 reciever. The reciever is stero, but if connected to the RF output, that connection is mono. I don[t believe the 301 is surround.

it is a dishnetwork rec yes..hmm..dont know the serial.....i hace rca and video plugs going out to stereo rec....anything recorded from tv is in stereo..but nothing on sat.
