I'm sorry but this might have been addressed but lost in all the threads with no way to search for it that I can see, but I have had trouble with 2 movies actually. Brother's Grimm and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. DVD Shrink gives me the old redundacy error and I guess I'm to dumb to figure out DVD Decrypter and DVDFAB Express..They seem to have copied the movies but I tried the DVDFAB and it even let my Nero burner go through it's process but when I was done I could only access the extras on the movie. Anybody help and old man trying to keep up with all the technology.

Brothers Grimm has the new protection on it and Shrink will not handle it. DVDFab is able to do this movie and you should then be able to process the file with Shrink. As for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory there is nothing special on this one. Make sure your disk is clean or take it back and get another original. If you just want to use DVD Shrink then try the free DVD43 which is a driver that works in the background with Shrink to break encryption on the new movies. Available here

Or you can dl the 21 day trial of AnyDVD which is also a driver that runs in the background and breaks encryption, and works very well and is updated and supported. Available here

I had no issues with either Brothers Grimm or Charlie. I think I simply used Shrink and Nero to burn, but I may have also included DVD Fab, and I use DVD43 all the time. At any point, they were two of the easiest movies I was able to back up. One caution for you all regarding AnyDVD - a short time ago I took the advice to try the 21 day trial version; however, that same day I realized I would be unable to use it for that period of time due to being away. So I uninstalled it in order to try it again when I returned. No can do! Once it is placed on your computer, the 21 days start ticking; so I lost the opportunity to try it. The only advice that Slysoft could give me was to install it on another computer or purchase it. I will stay with DVD43 as long as I can - but appreciate the input you all give regarding AnyDVD. I really enjoy reading the forum, and the joy of constant learning. Keep up the good work, folks!

Well...I did finally figure out DVDFAB and the VobBlanker. I was able to copy both them shrink with DVD Shrink. It wouldn't load automatically to Nero but I had no probably loading manually. I did upgrade Nero so either there is a po\roblem with the way I had to copy the movie and them process it in Shrink from a folder or something come unchecked in Nero, but it copied. I'm sure I tried Charlie in DVD Shrink first but...anyway..I now see that even a 49 year old dumby can work them.Well..guess I'm not such a dumby after all am I....Thanks for forums like this. I did see that DVDFAB Express seems to be a trial version to buy but the older none express isn't. So thanks to this forum and others like it for helping out.
