I have a file on my hard drive, lets say EQUILIBRIUM SVCD1.mpg. Now my TOSHIBA DVD Player doesnt play SVCD. I tried performing the SVCD trick as described everywhere through TMPGEnc. It multiplexed and everything, however when I then tried to burn it as VCD using NERO, I get this error message:
invalid video stream 29.97 frames/second
480 x 480 pixels

It gave me the option of turning off standard compliance and continue to burn anyway, so I tried it but the video turned out to be too jumpy to watch.

I know that the standard VCD has to be
352 x 240, but the TMPGEnc doesnt change the 480 x 480 pixels it was as SVCD when multiplexing to MPEG-1 Video CD (non-stanard) or even just MPEG-1 Video CD.

PlEASE help! I tried searching for the answer in the forum but couldn't find it. If any of you people know what to do please let me know.

The problem here is simply that you're dvd player gets confused when the headers are different from the actual video stream!! Which unfortunately means, you will probably have to re-encode!

Through TMPGEnc would be the easiest way but unfortunately it will take time and you might need to find an mpeg plugin for tmpgenc!
