Hello all,
I'm somewhat of a newbie when it comes to ripping movies. I've been using DVDXCOPY for about a month without any problems, but I thought I'd get a little crazy. To speed up the process I thought I'd get a DVD-Rom that can read at 16X (since the A05 only reads at 6X). So, I rip the movie to the computer in the DVD-rom and then burn in the DVD-RW... sounds simple right?

Here is my problem. It appears the data isn't getting read properly from the dvd-rom, cause none of the movies I create using this method work. They all come up with gibberish when I try to play them. Could there be some problem with the way the data is getting to my computer?

Currently i have my Primary Master and Slave as the two harddrives I use. The Secondary Master is the DVD-RW and the Secondary Slave is the DVD-Rom. I have a feeling that the speed required to pull the data off at 16X can't be handled from a Secondary Slave channel, but I am not sure. My computer is pretty fast (2200 XP, Asus A7N8X Delux motherboard, 1gb RAM) so I don't think it's that...

ANyone have any ideas or suggestions? Has anyone got this setup working (DVD-rom to DVD-RW)?

Thanks!
