ok I had a hp burner and well it was not very good so I went and bought a new lite-on but the only problem I have is it will not burn my -ty's they fail everytime but it burns to the +ty's well it fails on all - media cause I tried ritekg05 same thing fails in like 5 seconds when it goes to write. I looked on lite-ons website for a firmware upgrade but it didn't say I had one. I am on firmware ps08 thats what the nero info tool says does any body got an idea whats up with my burner cause I could live with just burning to my +ty but I have over 200 -ty's that I would like to use anyways let me know any help I get will be helpfull/

if you have Nero 6, let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.

if you have Nero 7, let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '5C' or similar.

either way you can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"

My 160P6 does an excellent job, should work for you after the guys get a look at your log and get things straightened out.
