I'm not an expert, but you have some pretty common errors in your burn log:
Quote: Nero Sürüm: 6.6.0.3 (Nero Express)
You are using an old version of Nero. You can update it to the latest bug free version here:
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe
Quote: CdRomPeripheral : PHILIPS DVD+-RW SDVD8441 atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off
This is the main problem. Your DMA is off on your Philips DVD-RW. If you got it to complete the burn but it was extremely slow, it is probably in PIO mode. You can turn your DMA back on using this guide by Alkohol:
http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues
Quote: Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)
You often see this error when you use cheap, poor quality media. Many senior members here at aD have found that using quality media like Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Sony - Maxell - Fuji (if made in Japan) will cause much less headaches when burning DVDs.

@rolanddes,
Follow FiremanDB suggestions, also..........
Your drive is having a problem with recognizong and writing to your media. I believe a firmware update could take care of the media problem shown here in your log:

It wasn't easy to find, but the only firmware update I found is PX47:
File Category: Device Firmware
File Title: QSI/Philips SDVD8441 drive firmware update
File Version: PX47
File Date: 18-01-2006 16:01:03
File Size: 1553904 Bytes
This firmware update will improve the drive's compatibility with many different media from different vendors.
http://support.packardbell.de/de/mypc/?dwn=7048470000;sdvd8441_px...
Download and run the file to start the update process. Follow the instructions on screen. This Firmware update utility is meant exclusively for QSI/Philips SDVD8441 drives. If you are unsure if you have such a drive, you can safely download this utility and run it anyway. The firmware flash tool will detect if the correct drive is in your system, and will report the current firmware version prior to attempting to update the firmware. It will only update the drive's firmware if it detects the correct drive.

Thanks Johnl123, I couldn't find that firmware update anywhere on Philips website. It didn't even have the SDVD8441 listed as one of its drives.

No problem, glad I could help.
: Device Type: CD-ROM / CDRW / DVD
: Manufacturer: : Device Type: CD-ROM / CDRW / DVD
: Manufacturer: Quanta Storage
: Model: Philips SDVD8441 (QSI SDW-082K) slim DVD±RW drive
: Interface: IDE
It was tough to find any info on the drive and getting the update was even harder (but not impossible), it's got the philips name on it but it's made by Quanta Storage, you can check it out here:
Look for:
Model : SDW-082K (SDVD8441)
Speed : 8X/8X/2.4X/4X/4X/
24X/24X/8X/24X

Hopefully the firmware update will do the trick.
