Hi folks...Great forum btw...I came here in hopes of finding light at the end of a longgggg tunnle....I bought a Sony DVD RW DRU-810A dvd burner and for the first 3 months everything was fine but now I cant't get a dvd to burn in Nero to save my life...I updated my firmware and have made sure DMA was enabled and even reformatted my pc thinking it was a problem with Daemon Tools leaving something behind that I couldn't find...Here it is several days and at least a dozen coasters (btw I'm using the media HP DVD+r 16x). I cant see a lot wrong with this log, your firmware is current, only error

I bought a 50 stack of Sony DVDrs tonight and tried again but it's still burning coasters...Is my dvd burner fried? Seems so :(

Eventhough your Sony DRU 810A has the latest firmware, I'm wondering why can't it recognize the MID (media identification & code)? Are you trying to burn an ISO or Image file? If so, then make sure you use or put a check on "Finalize Disc (No further writing)". I've found that sometimes it's better to burn ISO or Image file with Nero Express.
