Our old IT guy at work (we currently don't have one so I'm looking for a fix) set up our new computer with the primary partion that has operating system info at 10GB and recovery at 30 instead of other way around. Dangerously low on space now, always get windows saying disk is full, etc. Any way to open the one partition and shrink the other without calling people in from main HQ?

You can use Partition Magic 8 to do the work, but you'll want to backup any information you need first.

If you are running low on disk space, you can do one of two other things as well.

Install programs to the second partition instead of the primary, or get a second hard drive and install the programs to it.

Thanks for the response. I have heard about but never used partition magic, I don't think thats an option due to the fact it really isn't my computer (company property).
I also thought about reinstalling the programs to the other partition, problem is, this computer is patched into another computer, which in turn is patched into the main network, so If I change one path it makes a mess for the other software, and with all the network SQQL (I think thats right, lets the programs between our computers "talk" to each other or network), well I'd be calling the corporate IT guy to fix a problem bigger than the one we started with along with no computers for a week which is not an option. I will look into partition magic more though, and if any other ideas pop up let me know.
