I dont know if any of you have heard about this. But in the UK some kid and his dad have set up a site to "Rival" ebay. http://www.huntforit.co.uk edited by ddp i have checked this out and i have to say what a load of sh*t it looks more like an annoying pop up than a website. The home page just looks so amutarish. And if you go to the "Meet the team" page and go to the bottum the last person is the kid who came up with the idea. He look lik e and arrogant little idiot and hes the "Head of marketing and development" all i can say to that is "Having been convinced to drop out of college after just one term" i wouldnt be very confident about him running this site. And this is classic "man about town" lol. All the other people working there have long write ups about everything they don e in there career. The KID has about a paragraph and they're struggling to fill that much. The whole idea is ok, but this is just flawed imo

hey I say good on him for having a go my wife sells on ebay australia and god knows they could do with some competition to make them improve both their buyer and seller support

i dont know whats wrong with your ebay over there, but ebay over here .co.uk is great! I read about this huntforit.com in the newspaper and looked it up on some news forums, and its completely flawed, also from a "Good Source" the kid is a complete A Hole!

i agree with philraz - Ebays customer skills & problem resolving techniques suck. it is good that someone is trying to give them some competition. i have dealt with ebay - uk & ebay - usa. if you ever get a problem then they deal with it in one way - THEIR way. i have had a few problems with them & sent them e mail after e mail which i am sure they never read as they dont even listen to what you say, they just send either a "standard" pre-written reply or dont even bother to reply at all!

it is true that you can get pretty much anything on ebay & it is a good site - until you have a problem that you need sorted!

i hope they get some competiton & realise their customers are what made them what they are & they need to look after them or lose them!

Yeah huntforit is shite...then again ebay.co.uk is full of film pirates and thieves selling dodgy goods or pirated films and software..

I found people selling Slayers disks for gods sake, those are totally illegal..xboxes with 300 games for £80!..and people with over 1000 bad feedback and complaints..

The trick is get multiple accounts and rip people off by bidding on your own stuff (dead easy with AOL!)
