Except this was posted in another thread and gramsie states they have a TSSTCorp drive which is a Samsung and I am not sure if this drive booktypes unless some other program is used to do it, or possibly it can be done using Nero.

Try restoring DVD decrypter's default settings, then see if it will allow you to booktype.
tool--settings---restore defaults

If your burner supports this feature then possibly you did get it to work in Nero. You can go into the Nero CD/DVD Speed and set it there, choose your drive, use the extras tab and then bitsetting in the dropdown.

The easiest way to go is to have either Nero CD-DVD Speed, Nero Burning Rom or Nero Express "automatic" set the "book type" into DVD-ROM and whenever you're using any DVD+R, DVD+RW or DVD+R DL media to burn, it will "automatically" change the book type into DVD-ROM inprior to the actual burning process.
I've used the "automatic" book type to DVD-ROM with Nero and it has worked 100% flawlessly. So far, Nero has never let me down when it comes to "book typing". There are tons of "utility" and other free tools such as DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn can change the book type easily. However, I don't like the fact that for DVD Decrypter and ImgBurn, every burn I need to go inside it's setting and change it or else it won't work. Therefore, I prefer Nero Burning Rom and primarily used it for my burning application.
In reality, go with what works for you.

If you are running XP then you do not need ASPI. Besides Nero has its own ASPI layer
