For what it's worth this is what I discovered on this issue. I would be happy to entertain suggestions about how to do the whole process with nero and have it work right. I have had an audio sync problem with 8 out of 11 shows I burned to dvd. Usually starts around 28 minutes in for some reason. I used nero vision express 3 to convert avi file and also convert pal to ntsc.
I have found 2 ways around the problem. One I used avi2dvd to convert to a vob file and convert the pal to ntsc then I burned it with nero. You can also use dvd decrypter to burn the iso image or any other program capable of burning such images. The result either way was 100% fine no audio problem.
Second I used a program called super from erightsoft it is only capable of converting file types in this case avi to vob. It will not convert pal to ntsc I used nero to convert pal to ntsc and burned the dvd with nero. Result 100% no audio problem.
This led me to the conclusion that it appears the problem is not with the conversion of pal to ntsc but with the avi to vob? Comments
