I 12:44:38 DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.4.0 started!
I 12:44:38 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2)
I 12:44:38 Initialising ElbyCDIO...
E 12:44:38 Unable to initialise ElbyCDIO! - ELBYCDIO.DLL
E 12:44:38 Reason: The specified module could not be found.
E 12:44:38 You need to install CloneDVD.
E 12:44:38 Visit http://www.elby.ch to download it.
E 12:44:38 Alternatively, try changing the 'I/O Interface' in the Settings to a different one.

I experienced this when I tried to rip a dvd for backup. It says to install Clone Dvd. Could someone help me with this? Do I need to install this program as I have hda much success with Fab and Shrink alone.

keyrom ,
Set it to SPTI-Microsoft as you are using XP-Home. You only use that interface you tried if you have AnyDVD or CloneDVD installed

Thank you Car.Mike - but I am not sure what or how to change it to spti-microsoft, and where do I find that input. Your help is appreciated.

Run DVD Decrypter, from the menu at the top, goto/choose:Tools--->settings, click on the I/O Options tab and look for the interface section. Click on the SPTI-Microsoft selection then click ok.

In the Interface section, you can select how DVD Decrypter accesses your DVD drive. The default SPTI works if you have an NT based operating system (Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003), and does not require any special drivers. All other options require special drivers that you first have to download and install.
