some PSX back-ups wont work on modded PS2

this only occurs for Area51, Naruto, and Fear Effect 1 & 2. all 40 of my other back-ups work fine. i copied these from the original disc using CDRWIN. i set the read settings to 4x and burn settings to 1x. Did'nt work at all so i tried diff. recording speeds and it still didn't work. Whats going on here? How can I get them to work? All my ps2 back-ups work fine.

note that I use a Magic V mod-chip.
