I know this has been asked before, but the answer didn't solve my problem, so:

When i open an AVI file with virutaldub i get the following message.

"VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 43680 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable decompress the *entire* audio stream to an ucompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder (bitrate: 151,5 ± 32.3 kbps)

I think the problem is, that the bitrate is not one of the standard ones, right? so I have to change it and everything is fine.

I tried mp3 freeze to do that but end up with an Microsoft PCM Format audio file and not an mp3.

thanks in advance for helping me.
