Prob burning cd+r w/video onto dvd+r

It wont let me burn video off a cd+r onto a dvd+r how do i go about burning it or is it not a pos.?

You are not giving us a lot to go on here. I assume you have video files currently on a CD and you'd like to burn them to DVD using Nero, is that what you're trying to say?

You're making things hard with your lack of info. Firstly I would rip the video CD to my hard drive and then using Nero( assuming you have Nero) it's a simple matter of burning to DVD.
Of course I am flying in the dark here because you havent told us what you have already tried.

Sorry guys, yes i have Nero and basically i went into Nero selected make a VCD and went from there, it transcoded but after that poped out the DVD+R and said it wasnt the right cd to be using? how would i go about ripping it to my hard drive?!?

You are NOT making a VCD if you wish to burn the files to a DVD, you have to select Make DVD, big difference.
