Hi. I was about to convert some AVI video files to VCD's with VirtualDub and TMPGEnc, but when I click the Start button in TMPGEnc it gives me the following error message: "Error occurred when ACM was initialized". After trying few other files I have noticed that I get this always with every AVI I have tried, even though the files worked without problems before. How can I fix this?

I checked the AVI files with program GSpot to see if I have the codecs needed and it says I have them all, so that is not the problem either.

Try this, click option - environmental settings, click the vfapi plug-in tab and look for DirectShow FileReader in the list, right click it and raise its priority to 2. Now try and let me know what happens!

Perhaps you could re-download tmpgenc in case anything in it was changed!
