Could GameShark GameCodes 5.4 be used to swap with a backup?

Is it possible to use the GameShark GameCodes Version 5.4 to swap with a backup to make it work? Maybe it can because, now this is very weird, I tried to swap, selected Start Game with no cheats, swapped the GameShark with my backup(without the console knowing it). It did the normal spinning then stopping, then, when I chose Auto Cheat Mode, it asked to replace the GameShark disc. And this is what happened, it thought the GameShark was a backup! After 3 resets, it read the GameShark as an original. Now, maybe it has to do with the 2SP Patcher, which is a patch and a dummy file(did not put that in my ISO but performed the patch) to make a backup work with the GameShark. The game is Sega Rally Championship, downloaded, since this game is never coming to America(it was a bonus included with the first copies of Sega Rally 2006) and I don't import anything.
