Hi all,

I have a PS2 Slim modded with Muppet Chip and Neo-Fix Xii.

In short, the Neo-Fix Xii is faulty, and jammed up the whole ps2 and i cant start up. Initially I thought it was the power point too far away causing instability, so i changed to a nearer point. It worked for weeks and finally it gave way.

I powered it up and it jammed. I took it apart, the laser was not in its original position(it went to the center to read but the whole thing jammed). I took off the diode fix knowing it was the problem.

HOWEVER, it would not read anything after i started it up. I did a few things, adjusted the pot etc. but still dont work.

FINALLY, i put the neo-fix back(although faulty it can still work for a while before it jams). STRANGELY, it reads! Then now again, Im confident the laser acknowledged the new settings, and I took the fix off again. NOW IT WORKS!

Any answers/explanations to this would be highly appreciated, so I wouldnt panic in future such things happen.

Oh and btw, the pots now are as follows:

CD: ~150ohms
DVD:~650-700ohms

are these values healthy? i rem the CD's value so i put it back, but forgot abt the DVD =|
