I tried using DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, DVD FAB and VOB blanker all to no avail to copy the movie "The Cave". Anyone out there who has the same problem? I did successfully copy Flightplan using DVD decrypter onto my computer hard drive but unable to use DVD shrink to burn it onto a disk. Help!!!
The Cave will work with DVDFab Decrypter and VobBlanker. If it didn't work for you, then you either did something wrong or you have a bad press and need to get another original.
I actually had to use DVDFab Decrypter, and VOB Blanker for both of these movies...And at the end of the day...they were both horrible movies, but they came out flawlessly...lol
i used DVDFab Decrypter for Flightplan (2.9.7.3 i think it was, though i may have had 2.9.7.2 installed when i did this movie). Either way i then used just DVD Shrink as per normal.
as for the Cave i used just DVD Shrink on it's lonesome.
If you follow Alkohol's guide explicitly, you shouldn't have any problems. Granted, I didn't use it (because I AnyDVD and Shrink worked for me), but it worked for everyone else.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

Always use good quality blank media. Verbatim is always a good call. Don't be seduced by those 50-spindles you find in the $2.99 bin at your local car wash! :)
