after i mount iso files on my virtual drive. i am using alcohol 120%, do i need to keep the iso files or can i burn them and take them off my harddrive.

You have leave the image file format on your hd. After all, that is how you mounted the image file format to play m8.

If you need to free HD space you can burn the image (carefully, according to the protection - if any - that is embedded in the image). You must un-mount it first, or you'll not be able to remove it from the HD.
