Ok i haven't burned in a few months but it was working fine...now i can't burn nothing, just stops saying error on Nero. So figured maybe it was just nero but same thing with windows media player. Heres the log.

ddp, how do i enable that. I'm a little new to this. Also do you have a link for the NEC DVD+RW ND-3100AD firmware? I have a dell 8400. I been looking around at sites and it seems there isn't any firmware. I dont get why all of a sudden it doesn't want to burn.

in device manager, under ide controllers look at both primary & secondary to enable the dma. also check the guides section above about the 1 done by bbmayo.

this is what i see..

only a primary and it says dma if available. Can't change nothing on it.

Have a look at the dma check guide om my page follow the link in my sig you may have the second ide drive disabled in the bios or some sata boards only have one ide chanel
