DVD Decrypter only ripps Video not Audio files

On some newer movies when I try to rip them all I am getting are the "VIDEO_TS" files but not the Audio files. Is there a setting in DVD Decrypter that I have over looked?

Do you mean you don't get an Audio_TS folder, or the folder is empy? If it is empty, don't worry about it. it is always empty(from what I know!)

I don't get the Video folder at all...and I get an error if I try to copy them using DVD Shrink. I've had this happen to me on more than one (newer) movie recently. Also, I can play the video files that were created (using the DVD player on my computer) but, there is no audio. I've tried using "DVD Decrypter" and today I tried "AnyDVD" with the same results for both...hmmm????

The audio stream is muxed in with the VOBs.
The AUDIO_TS folder is reserved for use with audio DVDs which are pretty much non-existent. A regular video DVD should never have anything in this folder.

About the only thing I can think of with Decrypter settings is your Stream Processing. Once you have a movie loaded in Decrypter, right click the files and Make sure Direct Stream Copy is selected and not Demux.
With AnyDVD installed you may want to go into Decrypter > Tools > Settings > I/O and change the Interface to ElbyCDIO.

I'd put everything else at the default settings except that.

Playing a movie on your PC can be a bit misleading because your
media player will play non DVD-Video compliant files. Shrink, on the other hand will not.

Shrink will give you an error similar to this:

"DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue." "Failed to open file..."

If you have AnyDVD then you shouldn't need to use Decrypter. Just open the disc with Shrink. It should appear unencrypted.

Can you try a movie that you have done successfully before?

You may want to use Decrypter in ISO read mode and then open the ISO in Shrink and see if that works OK. (File > Open disc image)
