I have a dvd-rw by fuji their (MIT)
i checked it out with dvd ID
this is what I got

Their made by RIDATA and on the fuji package it says made in taiwan
and infact the RIDATA production plant is located in taiwan.

Good disks, I have been using them for about 4 months now for a DVD-R recorder.

In the words of your pet Goliath " oh davey1!!" Yes Ritek media is made in Taiwan and is generally thought of as very good media Perhaps a touch behind verbatim media which is also made in Taiwan ! which shows that Excellent & very good media can be made there ! witness Verbatim Media & Ritek ! Unfortunately CMC Crap media and a host of other generic crap media is made there as well which is why many of the knowledgable members recommend Japan Made Media = Taiyo Yuden , maxell Japan , Sony japanese made Media =Taiyo Yuden " Or Fuji Made in japan media = also Taiyo Yuden ! Taiyo Yuden Is the Cream of The media Crop whether it is there own media or has sony, fuji or whomever's name on it & Maxell/hitachi = Maxell japanese media is excellent too ! It's not most important where the media was made as it is how it was made ! Quality Control is the key & the Japanese seem to be better at it than the taiwanese excepting Verbatim, Ritek & Maybe Ricoh ! From what I've sean posted Hong Kong Made DVD media is the pit's To be avoided ! I hope I did'nt come off as Picking on you We appreciate the info and help from everyone ! for what it's worth I have some old DVD-RW memorex media that codes out as ritek too .
