Hi,
I have modded a couple ps2's with the Matrix Infinity chip.
And now I am looking at the H2O chip, and it looks fine with me.

I want to know if anyone had problems with the chip.

I also like to know whats better at the MI.

Thanks in advance

thank you all

There isn't really anything "better" than the MI, assuming you have a legit MI. The DMS 4 Pro SE has a better feature set built into Toxic OS, but it's not as stable as the MI. The Crystal Chip is a solid chip, it auto patches DNA's for online play, but doesn't support cheat devices. Those are the only two in the same arena as the MI. Read the Modchip FAQ in my sig for more info.

So if you know it's not as good, why are you interested? You should pay a little more and get a Crystal Chip or DMS 4 if you want another chip. Other chips pale in comparison and are a waste of money. You can find the H20 chips features in five minutes on google. If you know anything about modchips, you should be able to figure what the features do from the tech specs. So go to google and type in H20 modchip, how hard is that?

Not really. If he's going to ignore my advice and go with an inferior chip, then he gets what he gets. I'm in a good mood, but I could find 20 links about the H20 chip in 20 minutes. I don't mean to be rude, but that's how it is in my view. Cheers!

I know the features, but i don't know how stable it is and stuff.
I am interested because most of my costumers care more about the price than about the extra features.

And i don't know much about modchips, that's why i'm here.
(I have only modded 4 ps2's with MI)

thank you all

Yeah I was a little curt with you before, sorry. I don't understand why you'd want an inferior chip though. The H20 isn't awful per se, but it's not anywhere close to the DMS 4 Pro SE or Crystal Chip 1.1. Not to mention a newer version of the Crystal Chip is in the works and will be released soon. According to my sources it's supposed to have some "very interesting surprises." That could be anything, an original HD Loader program that improves on HD Loader, some means of playing Socom 2 or 3 online, playing PSX games off a HD with a chip, who knows? It's kind of exciting to think what it might be. Anyway, here's some info on the H20 Pro chip:

I have also heard that when Crystal Chip 2.0 comes out they will only be making the new firmware for CC1.1 and CC2.0 not 1.0 also it willl have a 20 MB flash!

v7 w/ Crystal Chip 1.1, Boot Manager 1.8, and HD Loader v0.7c w/ 80 GB HD
v7 w/ DMS4 Pro and Toxic OS .41 w/ 200 GB HD

imo, Subzero is quite reputable with the fixes and stuff. Yes current batch of H20+ may be a bad batch, but I dont think the normal H20 is lousy at all.

not everybody likes a powerful chip like DMS, MI, Ghost or CC, at least for me. i do not require such extra functions other than booting backups, and so i got a Mars Action A750 installed, and work just fine. DMS4 Pro however gets too heated up after a while in my ps2 slim and shows BSOD 10-20mins after powering up.

i think that not all cheaper chips are plain lousy, wont last long, or kill the ps2 sooner etc. most stores and modders sell pre-mod ps2 with cheaper chips anyway.

Yeah. That's your opinion. I disagree 100%. You pay about the same price for high end chips, and their reliability is gaurunteed. So you gamble saving $10 vs having a modchip that functions properly? That's not a good gamble in my book, most modders would agree.
