Does anyone know the audio capabilities of Magix Edit Pro 10?

I'm a novice at movie editing and would like to know if anyone knows if Magix Edit Pro 10 allows you to change the audio levels of your video clips individually? The program I'm currently using that came with my JVC HD Everio camera lets you think you are adjusting individually but the adjustment then affects every scene of the movie. In some cases I need the audio on the video clip to be louder and in some cases lower. I would also like the ability to record narration and set the levels for individual scenes; again, not for the entire movie. I'd like the same capabality for the music.

Lastly, many of the scene transitions are jerky - sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Is that a function of this basic program I'm using? Does anyone have any other video editing programs they like better than Magix Edit Pro 10?
