I've just got a new panasonic nv-vhd1 combo. I'm unable to play any dvd-/+R or dvd-/+RW. VCD and mp3 on cdr/w all works fine. I have checked the spec and it is suppose to be able to play dvd-r. I've tried TDK Verbatim and Datawrite media. I have also read the player need to be switched into compatability mode 2 ? any ideas how this is done ? All the dvd-R i have tried work fine in my logix 3300d.
Thanks in advance for any help given

Thanks for the replies and the urls. I have now got DVD-R working. I'm still trying to find out what the "compatability mode 2" is or how to turn it on as I still can't do anything with DVD+R.

Any Ideas ?

You have the option to burn in -R format so where is your problem really ?: )

I don't use +R format so I wouldn't even speculate any further as to your enlightened path of +R(RW) playing on a DVD/VHS Combo unit

lol Good point, but I seem to burn more in +R than I do -R though. Would be nice to have both working, but if not I can live with -R.
