Hi everybody first time poster long time reader :)

While browsing through the thread i am seeing many a people that seem to have problems with copying their dvd's.
I am just wondering, i use dvd shrink (the best ever) coupled with anydvd and my choice of burning is nero , i use a sony dru 800A with latest firmware and i have yet to run into a problem at all with any release of any movie. Old release's new release's i have yet to strike a problem.
Am i the only one or do most other people have no problem at all.
I was just curious about this is all.

It's not rocket science, but like anything else, some people will have problems, and others won't. Kudos to you for using good apps to make the process as easy as possible, but under the circumstances the fact that you aren't having problems isn't at all surpring.

i too very rarely have any problems of any sort, but there's the odd funny movie once in a blue moon, but even then it's always something simple

I agree with my buddy "creaky". I don't have any problem with ripping and or backing up movies. The basic and or most important part/process are; make sure burner is up-to-date with firmware, use high quality media, burn 4X - 8X, know what you're doing (i.e. ripping, transcoding and burning, etc.) and you should be all square away.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

I have only been doing this for 5-6 months and I rarely have a problem with burning -- and I am really happy about that. Having said that, I had a problem this weekend trying to burn Dances With Wolves (belongs to my son). Tried several programs and it just would not burn. It has been used quite a bit and was not in the best of shape. I mostly use AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 and swear by these programs. I have quite a few other programs, but these are easier for me to use. I probably could have used something more "sophisticated" for the burn, but personally did not want to put the extra time into the burn. I'm very happy for the success that I have had so far.
