Hi I have a modded PS2 slimline (matrix chip). I am tyring to play online with this console but I keep getting a DNAS error, I have contacted Central Station and it's because the console is modded. Is there any way around this?

Yeah u have to turn ur chip off when it does the dnas check, i was stuck with this aswell then figured this way out, then if u wanna play games online u have to change the disc id of that game using different DNA$ codes. ANd a program called windip to change it. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/199101

If it is an original game then disable the chip.
If it is a back up that you made then you have to make another one if you did not patch the game with a DNAS when you made it.

Ok I can disenable the chip by holding down the start button! But will the Playstation still play the back up? I simply burned a copy of Toca race driver 3 using Nero, so this will not work online? I will have to take a look in to this DNAS stuff

I am I bit confused now! DNAS checks the disk and for modified consoles! So how is it possible to play a back up online? If the chip is turned off then the back up game can't be read by the palystation!

if you patch your game with windip the ps2 is fooled into thinking this is a real storbought version of the game. to use windip, you need the iso of the game and you also need th dnas # which can be found on a few threads on this site. you just open the iso, check the iso for files to be patched and then put in the dnas #. you then hit patch and then just burn the image using dvd decryptor.

you still need a modded ps2 and you need to patch all of the online enabled games with windip

I have tried playing the standard central station game with the chip diseabled but I am still getting a DNAS error, (fault 603 mI think). If I can't get this to work I have no hope in getting a patched game to work!
