Hi,

I guess this is the classic newbie question:

I have a Sony DCR-TRV19 camera and would like to store the videos on CDs. I do not need the CDs to be VCD or anything, I will play them in the TV but it will be through the computer video out.

What are the sugestions for the format?

I am expecting something along the lines of 30min per CD (700MB), with the best possible quality. Please note that the "type" of content is that of camcorder recording, usually not very steady shooting. :-)

Thanks in advance,

Christian

Mpeg2 will give you about 30 mins of footage on a CD at the SVCD resolution.
It would be easiest just to make it into an SVCD.
