ok. basically i need help to play burned games on my ps2.
first i dled a game from a bittorrent; after it finished dling it comes up with all these files:
mrn-cssf.r00
mrn-cssf.r01
mrn-cssf.r02
mrn-cssf.r03
mrn-cssf.r04
mrn-cssf.r05
mrn-cssf.r05
mrn-cssf.r06 and etc.
so after i did that i made an .iso image file using DVD DECRYPTER.
once i made that it came up with two files:
an .iso file
an .mds file
i used alcohol 120% to burn both the files and put it into my system but it says that it won't work...
so now i don't know what to do from here...
i don't know what [other]program i can use, what speed to burn at, what functions it should be set to, what files of the two should i burn?
i also have a modchip in my ps2(slim.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE JUST TELL ME STEP BY STEP HOW THEY GOT THEIR GAMES TO WORK. ONCE AGAIN, I DLED GAMES FROM THE NET AND I'M TRYING TO SEE HOW TO GET THE GAME TO WORK FROM THERE.
i got pretty much same problem as u, pplz respones usually tell me to use WinRAR to extract the rar files or sumthin like that, im still waitin for a professional to post sumthin on ur comment too=P. i got a moded slim ps2 as well, message me or sumthin when u get an answer, i'll look around, see if any1 else knows how, sorry i couldnt help
Hey guys. Ya, you do need to use WinRAR to extract the iso when you have files like that. That program is easy to use.
@ loser001. When you say you burnt both of those files with Alcohol, just exactly how did you do it? If using Alcohol you should use the "image burning wizard". Browse and select your iso, then burn at a slow speed.
get and install Winrar
make a file on your PC for the game to go into
right click on the file r00 and choose extract to, then browse for the folder you made and extract it there.
Now you should have the ISO
Then just burn the ISO to a QUALITY 8X DVD-R at 4X burning speed
that is pretty much all ther is to it.
and for someone to say people keep telling them to extract it with WinRAR, that is because that is how it is done. There is not more "professional" way of doing it. They are compressed files like zip files, you have to extract them to get the ISO inside of all those small files. To do this you choose the first rar file in the list like r00 or r001 and extract it, it will extract all the others with it and give you an ISO file to burn.

aite i got it to work but now there's another problem...
everytime i put it in the ps2 and start it up. the screen of the game starts shaking rapidly. now i don't know what i did wrong.
is it the dvd?
or
is it the speed i'm burning it.
i tried burning it with DVD Decrypter and Nero at 1x speed but when it actually starts burning, it burns at 4x...
can somebody give me other advice.
