You need to have the VFAPI installed. From here:
TMPGEnc.com/e_enq.html
">http://www.TMPGEnc.com/e_enq.html
Without VFAPI the system can't read d2v files.

Umh. Few things you might want to try now (I've never ever had any problems with d2v's and TMPG):
1) Hopefully you didn't shut down AVI.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2AVI before the .d2v writing was 100% completed.
2) Try to download AVI.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2AVI v1.76 to see if the problem is with the new version (1.82). You can d/l it from here: AVI.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2AVI/DVD2AVI_176.zip
">http://arbor.ee.ntu.edu.tw/~jackei/AVI.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2AVI/DVD2AVI_176.zip
3) Try this tool called VFAPIConv, it can convert those project files into pseudo-AVIs, download it from here: http://arbor.ee.ntu.edu.tw/~jackei/VFAPIRC_104b_en.zip
...if these don't help, ask more -- if they do, please tell and I'll put additional notes to my guide.

Hey,
are you going to 'file' and 'open project' if so that is why you are getting the error message, you should open the file using the browse button at the botton next to the 'video source' and then do the same on the 'audio source', hope that helps or am i being completely stupid????

I am having similar problems trying to open my .dv2 file created by DVD2AVI ver1.82 with TMPGEnc Version 2.01.30.116. I thought it was a faulty plug-in, so I re-downloaded both the main program and the VFAPI plug-in from TMPGEnc's site.
Still after I've unzipped the plug-in to the folder where TMPGEnc is, and double-clicked the "install" .bat file, TMPGEnc does not recognize the .dv2 file. I go to browse (video) and then select the folder where it is stored. No .dv2 files are shown, so I go to "Show all files" and then click on the .dv2 file I just made. It gives me an error saying file not supported.
I hate to spend the time to rerun DVD2AVI b/c it takes so long. Any other ideas? Anybody else having this problem.
Thanks.

The plug-in, for some reason, doesn't seem to recognize 1.82 pseudo-files. I don't know if this has been fixed in 1.84 which was just released, but 1.76 works fine.

An addition: AVI.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2AVI v1.84 was released today and it works nicely (I just tested) with TMPGEnc.
