Hello.

My ps2 recently suffered a fall (~2ft), and now when it boots up to load hdloader it freezes on ps2dev9.irx. I tried to redo the mcexploit with no success. I'm using a swapmagic disc and when i put in the cdr with the files it spins up to max rpm and then stops and sits there with some kind of tracking-like distortion on the top of the screen.

The ps2 will play ps2/ps1 games fine.
The HDD works in my computer and there is no apparent data loss
The network adapter cd works in a friend's ps2, but not mine. (freezes)

I am about to redo the mcexploit on his ps2 to see if its the network adapter or not.

I took the ps2 apart down to the last screw, and nothing appears to be damaged, the case isn't cracked and nothing was loose or noticably damaged...

Is it possible for the network/hdd capability of the ps2 to be compromised and not anything else?

I'm totally lost but i don't want to buy anything if there is a fix or thats not the problem.
